These fishes
are mostly bottom dwellers that, in some cases like to bury themselves
in sand during
the day: They are often seen hovering from rock to rock in search
of the small animals they feed
upon. Their diet consists mainly of small crustaceans and other organisms
that live among the debris
on the seabed and rocks. Usually it is best to put these fish only
into well-seasoned aquariums with
plenty of microorganisms and other animals found in live rock and
live sand. They can be fed
supplements of rotifers and live brine.
