Damsels
along with Clown fishes belong to the Pomacentridae family. They are
found throughout the
world, and are almost always associated with reefs. Most of the Damsels
stay in small shoals when
young, breaking away from the group as they grow. Clown fishes are
very hardy and among the most
common fish associated with marine aquariums. They are most abundant
throughout shallow waters
in the Indo-Pacific region, and are almost always associated with
sea anemones. The diet consists of
small crustaceans, plankton and algae.
